The Rock: 8.5/10. Still awesome.
Sister Act at the Hippodrome: 2/10. A bit funny, mostly showtunes stereotypes.
From Paris With Love: 7/10. Muslims BAD, women BAD, guns GOOD, violence GOOD, John Travolta ego trip FUN!
The Lord of the Rings 1978: 3/10. Fascinating in the light of the modern films. But desperately lacking in budget, scope and technology.
1TB online: Dropbox $795/yr, Ubuntu One $1500/yr, Raw AWS EBS $1200/yr. Google waiting in the wings.
Faster: 5.5/10. Well executed.
Some Ubuntu data points
Senna: 8/10. Gripping, though morbid given that everybody knows what's going to happen.

The Adjustment Bureau: 7/10. Good stuff, but maybe too explicit to be truly perturbing.
If a lifetime is 100 years, a Full HD recording at a bitrate of 44Mbit/sec would be about 16.5 PiB. Only three orders of magnitude above consumer accessibility.

Unpatched kernel = cast 250+ days uptime to the wind.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo: 8.1/10. Could change about 5% of the scenes and lines and make an awesome Bond film.
Super 8: 7.9/10. Finely crafted by professionals but genre-bound.
Red Dwarf X: Trojan. This, on the other hand, was fantastic! Perhaps low expectations are the key.
Red Dwarf: Back to Earth: 3/10. Painfully self-conscious, empty and fanservish. Then it goes and downgrades parody to imitation, and again to Family-Guy-esque acting out scenes and lines from Blade Runner. All would be forgiven if it were more than slightly funny.
Homeland is good; new Red Dwarf tonight!
All instances of Conway's Game of Life take place on the same grid, but separated by such great distance that they simply haven't met yet.
Pretty disappointed by the instability of Ubuntu 12.10.
Killers: 1.5/10. Totally unnecessary. Really adds nothing to anything.
Skyfall: 8/10. Practically a clip show but a damn fine one.
Mad Max: 5.5/10. An ugly film but Carmageddon wouldn't exist without it.
650KiB/s uploads on a train!
Twilight 4.2: 5/10. Not actively bad, just passively totally what you expect.
Liston: an individual item on a list.
The Inbetweeners Movie: 7.7/10. A good implementation of the Kevin and Perry spec.
